Obituary for Marguerite T. Napoleon (Nestor)
The loving family of Peggy Napoleon announces her passing on January 5, 2019 at White Plains Hospital Hospice at the age of 91. Peggy was born in the Bainbridge Section of the Bronx on April 14, 1927 to Margaret “nee McLaughlin” Nestor & Frank J. Nestor, Sr. The youngest of three children (Frank, Jr. & Arthur “Buddy”), Peggy was raised in the Bronx and was a parishioner of St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church. She graduated Aquinas HS in 1945 and pursued a career in advertising. She worked in the casting department at Benton & Bowles and BBD&O. On April 15, 1961, Peggy married the love of her life, James E. “Jim” Napoleon at St. John the Baptist Church in Yonkers.
Peggy was a deeply religious person, a dedicated wife and mother blessed with boundless energy and drive. She was a strict disciplinarian who raised her children to have a deep faith in God. She taught her children to be respectful, self-confident and giving to others less fortunate. She was a “professional” shopper with a keen eye for fashion. Most of all, Peggy loved to be around children, especially her four precious grandchildren.
Peggy was an active member of her church, Immaculate Conception (Tuckahoe) and was a Eucharistic Minister and member of the choir.
Besides her husband Jim, Peggy is survived by her three children; Edward J. (Christine) Napoleon, Paul F. (Elizabeth) Napoleon and Patricia D. (Casimiro) Cibelli, her four grandchildren; Isabella & Victoria Napoleon and Liam & Caitlyn Cibelli. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Ann Nestor and her seven children and their respective spouses.
The family will receive friends at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY Wednesday, January 9th from 2 pm to 4pm and 7pm to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 10th at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
