Obituary for Lorraine Mastrogiovanni (Failla)

Lorraine Mastrogiovanni peacefully passed away in her sleep on Sunday, January 28th. Born and raised in the Bronx to Jasper and Concetta Failla, she attended Hunter College and worked at an adverting agency in Manhattan. It was at a dance over 60 years ago that she met her beloved husband, Thomas, Together they settled in Tuckahoe and raised their family.
Lorraine was know for her love of literature, daily walks, crossword puzzles, and artistic pursuits including drawing and painting.
In recent years, Lorraine lived at The Wartburg, where she continued to paint and was surround by a supportive community that appreciated her talents and spirit.
Lorraine is preceded in death by her two brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her devoted husband Thomas, her children Laurel (James), TJ (Glory), and Gina, and her grandchildren Aimee, Daniel, and Timothy. Lorraine’s memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
