Linda Carminucci, 73, of Bronxville, NY, passed away on November 6, 2019 at Calvary Hospital after a recent battle with cancer. She was born in Bronx, NY, on December 3, 1945, daughter of the late Armando and Theresa Carminucci and sister-in-law to the late Dr. John Salimbene. She is survived by her sisters, Joan Fenninger and Marie Salimbene, and her brother, Robert Carminucci. She is also survived by her 15 nieces and nephews (John Salimbene, Michael Salimbene, Rita Rohlman, Frances Robinson, Jennifer Salimbene, Deborah Murphy, Bernadette Acevedo, Eric Fenninger, Laura Sposato, John Fenninger, Robert Carminucci, Christopher Carminucci, John Carminucci, Michael Carminucci, and Mark Carminucci), their spouses, and numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Linda worked for many years as a travel agent, most recently as a VIP Travel Consultant at Ovation Travel. Travel was Linda’s passion. She loved to celebrate different cultures and traditions, having visited many countries over the years, including Russia, China, and Japan. Her favorite place in the world was Hawaii, where she visited over 25 times. Before becoming a travel agent, Linda was a beautician. Even after leaving the trade, she continued to use her expertise in cutting and styling her sisters’ and mother’s hair over the years.
Linda’s love of life was infectious. She will be sorely missed by friends and family.
A wake will be held from 4pm - 8pm on Friday, November 15th, at WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, November 16th at 9:30am at Immaculate Conception Church, 53 Winter Hill Road., Tuckahoe, NY.
