Obituary for Linda Marie Bonci
It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Linda Marie Bonci (Caridi), 75, of Eastchester, New York on September 28, 2022. At the time of her death she was surrounded by her loved ones.
Linda was born on January 17, 1947 in Mount Vernon, NY to John and Marie Caridi. She graduated from Eastchester High School in 1964. On September 24, 1966 she married the love of her life, Alexander Bonci of Tuckahoe, NY and in 1971 they welcomed their daughter Christine Marie. Linda lived in Eastchester all of her life and made many dear and close friends.
Before she retired in 2019, Linda worked as the Office Manager at Volunteer New York for over 20 years, where she made many meaningful friendships. Linda enjoyed vacationing on Cape Cod with her family. She also enjoyed reading books and doing crossword puzzles while sitting on her front porch feeding her menagerie of animal friends.
Linda is survived by her husband of 56 years, Alex, daughter Christine and son-in-law Brian Hamrick, her aunt Anna Caruso, sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Bob Niles, nephews, John and Michael Niles, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Marge and John Bonci, sister-in-law, Toni Bonci and many nieces, nephews and cousins who she adored. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Caridi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2022 from 3-7PM at Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY. Her funeral service will be held at 10:00AM Monday, October 3, 2022 at Ferncliff Crematory 280 Secor Road Hartsdale, NY.
