Obituary for Joseph Mandile

Joseph Mandile
Joseph (Joey) Mandile, 88, passed away March 27, 2020 of pneumonia and kidney disease. He leaves behind his loving wife, MaryAnn, of 55 years. He joins his beloved mother and father in Heaven, Joseph and Lucia Mandile, as well as his brother, Tony.

He was born, April 13, 1931 in the Bronx, New York. He played stick ball on the streets of 222nd. He served honorably in the army during the Korean War and then worked in payroll for Borden's Company for almost 30 years. He is survived by his two loving sisters, Ann DiCosimo and Margaret Mandile. He was a devoted father to his 3 children, LucyAnn Doino, Joseph Mandile, and Ralph Mandile, and a cherished grandfather of Jaclyn and Oscar de Agustín and Joseph Doino.

Joseph suffered through many illnesses, but never gave up on his faith and never complained. He will always be remembered by his family and friends as a good and honest man who always cared and served others.

Due to these "unprecedented times," the family is saddened that they cannot have a traditional funeral service, but wants to thank all of those who would have wanted to pay their respects. A memorial service will be held at a later date to honor his life. Online condolences can be given at www.westchesterfuneralhome.com.
