John H. Walsh, (Jack) passed away on December 5, 2022 after a long and courageous battle with colon cancer. Born in Long Island, Jack is a former resident of Eastchester, NY and Somers, NY. Jack and his wife, Julia and their son Stephen, recently relocated to Ivyland, PA to be closer to their son and brother, John and his family. Jack retired after 25 years of loyal service from the Department of Parks and Recreation and Conservation of Westchester County in 2016.
Jack enjoyed being around family and friends. Everyone who met Jack, knew he was a devoted husband, father, cousin, uncle, grandfather and friend. He always lit up a room and always knew how to make everyone laugh. Jack was easy going and made friends everywhere he went.
Jack is survived by his loving and beautiful wife of 35 years, Julia (Stahl) Walsh, their sons, Stephen Walsh and John (Danielle) Walsh, three beautiful grandchildren, McKenzie, Jack and Jackson K, and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He will also be missed by his loyal canine companions, Maddie and Duke.
The family will receive visitors at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester, NY Wednesday, December 14th from 4-8 pm. A mass will be held on Thursday, December 15th at 10:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital in Jack's memory.
