John W. Bourhill, 87, of Yonkers, NY passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2022 after a lengthy illness. John was born in Bronxville, NY on March 6, 1935 to the late James and Elenor (nee Sherwood) Bourhill. After graduating from Bronxville High School, he attended Columbia University for three years. After many years in Customer Service, he was ordained a Deacon in the Episcopal Church on May 19, 2001 until he retired.
John spent his life volunteering for many causes including Boy Scouts of America, Habitat for Humanity and Deacon at Ground Zero after 9/11. John's first wife Barbara, predeceased him in 2000. John is survived by his loving wife Susie, as well as sons John Jr. Michael, sister Joan Howard, stepson Keith Gagner, five grandchildren and one great granddaughter.
Visitation will be held at St. James the Less on Friday April 15, 2022 from 5 - 7 pm. The funeral will be at St. James on Saturday April 16, 2022 at 11 am.
