Obituary for Joan Tyroler

Joan A. Tyroler, formerly of Yonkers, passed away May 25th at White Plains Hospital. She remained independent in her life of 92 years. She was predeceased by her beloved “Charlie”, husband of 65 years and two brothers, Erwin (Jeff) and Leroy (Sonny) Scheff. Some of her lifetime milestones follow:

Mother of twin daughters Linda Tyroler (John Pinto) and Karen O'Connell and her late husband Wayne. Grandmother of Lindsay and Dave Arensdorf. Great-grandmother of Harley and Athena Arensdorf. Accomplished pianist and teacher to many students. Accompanied multiple musical groups on local “gigs”.Honed her culinary skills, especially holiday pie baking.

She greatly enjoyed traveling across the USA and Europe. Her multi-faceted character traits included a strong mind, total curiosity and keen awareness of life experiences. She will be remembered and missed by everyone she touched.
May she forever rest in peace.

The family will receive friends at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester, on Thursday, June 1 from 2-6 pm.
