On the behalf of my family and friends of my grandmother it’s tough to say goodbye to such a beautiful caring loving person. Holidays, graduations, family events, and special occasions will always be cherished by your presence. Sleepovers at grandmas will never be forgotten as those were the best times growing up. Waking up going to the diner and then the mall to buy toys were the best times. Growing up you never expect this day to come but it has. We all have to acknowledge now that you are in a better place and FINALLY back with grandpa. We love you dearly as you live on through our hearts and guide us through life. We all love you so much grandma and not only do we mourn for your passing but celebrate it as well knowing you are in a better place finally back with grandpa. We love you so much and we never say goodbye; it’s always i will see you later

Joan was a lovely, classy, kind and caring woman. God couldn’t have picked a better Grandmother for my nephew Gary and niece Francesca.

Joan Drive, Eastchester was often packed with cars because Joan and Pete would be hosting gatherings of family and friends at their home. There was always an open invite with plenty of food, drinks, great company and conversations. Fun times that I will always remember. I know Pete is celebrating the arrival of Joan today.

Love and peace to Gary Sr., Gary Jr., Francesca and the Nigro family.
