Irene Rubano passed away May 13, 2020 at the age of 92. A native of the Bronx, NY, Irene was a long time resident of Yonkers, NY. She passed peacefully in White Plains, NY. She was the beloved sister of Gennaro Rubano (1963), Anita Rubano (1997), Alfred Rubano (2009) and cherished sister-in-law of Yolanda Rubano (2003) and Rosita Rubano (2008). She was the adored aunt of Geraldine (Ed) Bertolini, Al (Tonnie) Rubano (2019), Ronald (Kathy) Rubano and Gerald Rubano. She was the matriarch of the family, with numerous grand-nephews and nieces and was ecstatic to see the family grow with a series of great-grand nephews and nieces. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Irene’s name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America. Interment will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery, Bronx NY.
