Gilda Mercurio passed on September 16, 2022, at the age of 93, reuniting with her beloved husband, John Edward and son, John Mark. Gilda was born in the Bronx, New York to Giovanni and Vincenza Apicelli on June 10, 1929. In April 1952, she married John and dedicated her life to her family. She was friend to many over the years, known to all for her incredible cooking, quiet strength and kind soul. Putting down deep roots in Westchester, she was the guiding force behind three generations of her beautiful family. She is survived her daughters Lynn Mercurio, Kathy Touris and Gina (Joseph) DiMartino. She was the beloved grandmother to Melissa (David) Vigue, Alexandria Touris, Kaitlynn (Michael) Paolucci, Danielle (Thomas) Pizzurro, Bianca (Louis) Sansone and John Mariano Mercurio and great grandfather to Olivia Mae and Lily Marie Vigue and Gia Pizzurro.
