Obituary for Gertrude Ann Richards

Gertrude "Trudy" Ann Richards passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 4, 2010. She was born on May 12, 1915, to Joseph and Lillian LaGrange. Gertrude, known to her friends as Trudy, is predeceased by her brother Harold and her former husband William Francis Jr. She is survived by her beloved daughter Gay V. O’Gallagher, former son-in-law Joseph, and her beloved granddaughter Shawn J. Feddeck(Fred). She will be interred at the Columbarium at Saint John's Church.
Gertrude was a decades long resident of Eastchester, NY. She enjoyed boating and she and her husband spent several summers travelling up the Hudson River to Lake Champlain on their boat.
Gertrude loved to sing since she was a little girl. She was a member of the choir at Saint John's Church, Tuckahoe. She was honored by Saint John’s with the installation of a plaque on the pew where she sat that recognized her decades of service.
Gertrude was a member of the Eastchester Town Players theater group, as well as other theater groups, for several years. She was cast in many musicals and plays throughout Westchester County.

A memorial service will be held on Feb 6,2010 at noon at St. John’s Episcopal Church.
