George Marinello, 94 of Eastchester, passed away peacefully at Calvary Hospital, on Thursday, March 12, 2020, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on January 13, 1926 in Mount Vernon, NY and was a 1944 graduate of Tuckahoe High School. The WWII Army veteran married his love, Severina Colonna, on November 26, 1950. They were married for 61 years before she passed away in March 2012.
The retired Eastchester Fire Department Captain leaves behind two daughters: Donna Nordone and her husband Samuel, of Eastchester and Patti Madden and her husband Michael of Cortlandt Manor. He is predeceased by a third daughter, Linda Powers of Clinton, MA. Cherished brother of Vilma Sacchinelli of Eastchester, he is also survived by his son in law, Edward Powers, his grandchildren: Jennifer (Powers) Brodrick and her husband Jason, Keri Powers, Stacy Powers, Nicholas Nordone, Samuel Nordone Jr. and his wife Katie, Joseph Nordone and his wife Donna, Alyssa Madden, Michael Madden, and Hayley Madden, as well as his great grandchildren: Tessa and Mason Nordone and Austin and Zoe Brodrick.
