Obituary for George F. Haskins

George F. Haskins was born on March 3, 1943 to Margaret Duvall and George S. Haskins. He was the beloved husband and best friend to Sharon Haskins. His daughter Katie Haskins was the love of his life. He died on Sunday December 26, 2021 at home.

George spent four years in the US Navy. During that time he became an avid reader and discovered the importance of higher education. He later acquired a bachelor’s degree in English and master’s degrees in both theater and hospital administration.

George was an administrator of a few hospitals in the New York metro area and Tempe, Arizona. He began his career at Lawrence Hospital where he met his wife. The last thirteen years, he was the COO at Mount Vernon Hospital. He sat on various boards in the healthcare field as a volunteer.

He leaves behind his wife, Sharon, his daughter Katie, his three brothers, Kenneth Haskins, Donald Haskins, and Robert Haskins, and his brother-in-law Brian Coggio. Also his Aunt Francis Duvall, more a friend than an Aunt. He will be missed by many sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, all contributions and donations should be given to Hospice of Westchester. Our sincere gratitude to the hospice and their staff for their support.
