George Ackerly, 65, born August 5, 1953 died peacefully with his wife by his side on June 26, 2019. He was married to Laura Rohr June 12, 1983. He worked as a carpenter and was often referred to as "the man with the gifted hands".
He is survived by his wife Laura, two daughters Danielle Rose and Genevieve Holly as well as his beloved two grandsons Tyler and Destyn, his sister Joan, many nieces and nephews and numerous family members.
George was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Genevieve as well as his two brothers Raymond and John.
He loved camping with his family when the girls were young and spending time with his grandsons.
He loved his entire family, friends, chocolate and a good scotch. We will miss him deeply.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER, on Saturday - June 29, 2019 from 2-6 pm. A prayer service will be held at the funeral home at 6 pm immediately following visitation.
