Obituary for Gaetano Marricco
Gaetano Luciano Marricco of Bronxville, New York passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. He was 74 years old. Known affectionally to his family, friends and colleagues as Guy, he was quick to offer a joke to anyone who would listen followed by a smile to brighten their spirits. Guy proudly served for 47 years with the United States Social Security Administration helping tens of thousands of people from all backgrounds in receiving assistance from the agency. In his free time, Guy enjoyed carpentry, watching the New York Yankees, soaking up the outdoors and reading novels of American history. For 15 years, Guy served as a scoutmaster of Cub Scout Pack 5 and Boy Scout Troop 1, both of Bronxville.
His greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Helen, his children, Thomas, Nicholas and Mary Ellen, and his sister Lucia and his brother Michael, and their families.
The family will receive family and friends at The Westchester Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31st from 11-2 pm and 4-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Church on Wednesday, February 1st at 10:45 am. Burial to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery.
