Obituary for Frank Aiola

Frank Aiola, age 90 of Eastchester, N.Y. sadly passed away on November 24th, 2023. Born in New York City on July 4th,1933, Frank was the loving son of Salvatore and Domenica (Minnie) Aiola.

A dedicated father, Frank leaves behind his 3 children: Deborahann Alkire of Mastic, N.Y., Nicholas (Cheryl) Aiola, of Oceanside, N.Y. and Donna (Thomas) Aiola Rabasco of East Meadow, N.Y. Frank is also survived by his beloved grandchildren: Karen (Erik) Alkire Beck, Melissa (William) Alkire Geraldo, Michael (Robin) Alkire, Nicholas Aiola, and Christopher Aiola; as well as his six precious great grandchildren: Tyler Alkire, William Geraldo, Sebastian Geraldo, Matthew Beck, Alice Alkire and Bruce Alkire. He also leaves behind devoted nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him and forever hold him in their hearts. He was greatly loved and will be missed beyond words.

Frank was a selfless individual who approached life with a heart full of compassion and a willingness to help others. He Loved his family, friends and the love of his life, Catherine (Kitty) Woods.

Frank’s life was marked by a commitment to service; he proudly served as a New York City Police Officer for 23 years, retiring on December 13, 1978. Frank then joined the Guardian Bus Company in order to help drive children with special needs for 10 years.

Frank was sadly predeceased by both his parents, his infant son Frank Aiola, Jr., his beloved brothers John Aiola and Nicholas Aiola and his devoted and loving sister Josephine (nee Aiola) Ferranti. He was a devoted son, loving father and a compassionate and caring brother. He tended to all in their hour of need and was always near to help and give of himself.

Frank’s passions were many, but his family always came first. He cherished moments under the sun, delighted in delicious meals and thoroughly enjoyed time spent with loved ones. His smile lit up a room and his presence warmed everyone's heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer's Association in Frank's name.
