Obituary for Francis Joseph Campolong

On Monday, April 13 2020, Francis Joseph Campolong of Eastchester, NY passed away at the age of 74. He was a loving husband, father, father in law, and grandfather who will be greatly missed.
Francis was born on January 7, 1946 in Bronx, NY to Frank and Jennie (Allega). He graduated from Mitchell Junior College and Hofstra University with a degree in business and took over the helm of Dalc Gear and Bearing Supply Corporation in New York City and Brewster, NY when his father retired in 1973. On June 10, 1978 he married Victoria Weldon (Tesoro) and together they raised their daughter, Caroline and her son from a previous marriage, Christopher.
His passion growing up was playing baseball and he played as a catcher in all the amateur leagues that were available to him. As a member of Leewood Golf Club he was able to hone his golf game while serving a term as President of the Board of Governors. All were overshadowed by his love of the New York Giants. Later in life he became an avid woodworker and fly fisherman.
Francis was preceded in death by his father, Frank and his mother, Jennie. He is survived by his wife, Victoria, two loving children, his son-in-law, Cassidy, and granddaughter, Katelyn. He also leaves behind his brother, Joseph and sister -in-law, Josette, his niece Jeanine, nephews Jim and David, as well as several cousins.
Due to the current climate, a memorial service celebrating his life will be held at a later date.
