To the family of Ernie. I've known Ernie for the past 20 years. I was incredibly blessed to have known him. He was one of the most genuine, kind and empathetic Man I was deeply grateful to have known. He treated me and my daughter like family. He was known by my husband, daughter and myself. I was deeply devastated to have not known he was in the hospital and passed away. It brings tears to my eyes to write this. I deeply regret not having the ability to have seen him one last time. My heart breaks for his family and loved ones. I am grateful that he was part of our lives. He was the type of person who hugged you every time he saw you and cared about how you were doing. He was wonderful and kind to my daughter who loved to visit him. I am grateful for the time he was part of our lives. He truly made this world a better place. Ernie was a close childhood friend of mine. I had met Ernie a couple of times in the last seven or eight years. He was still the same happy, friendly, and easy going person I knew from St. Mary’s through Sacred Heart High School.
