Donald W. Smith died on February 17, 2021 at the age of 84.
He was born to William G. Smith and Ella R. Smith on August 17, 1936 in Astoria, Queens.
He dedicated his life to Catholic education, serving as a De La Salle brother prior to teaching at Mount Saint Michael Academy and St. Barnabas School, both in the Bronx.
He was an avid hiker and shared his love of the outdoors with his nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his brother Richard Smith of Arcadia, California; his niece Patrice Smith of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his nephews Robert Puglisi of Bronxville, New York, and Donald J. Puglisi of Mount Vernon, NY; his niece Ellen Puglisi Eikamp, his grandnephew John R. Eikamp and his grandniece EllaJoy Eikamp of Scarsdale, NY.

A memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Feb. 24 at 9:30 am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe, NY. The Mass will be Livestreamed.
