Obituary for Debra Ann Smith

Debra Ann Smith: Homemaker
Debra Ann Smith, a homemaker and a long time Mount Vernon resident died yesterday at Montefiore New Rochelle Hospital. She was 60.

Debra was born on August 16, 1960, in Mount Vernon to James and Ellen Smith where they lived until they moved to Eastchester in 1963.

Debra attended Immaculate Conception School in Tuckahoe and then attended Eastchester High School where she was the Captain of the High School Twirling Team. Debra got her Associates Degree at Westchester Community College and became a Respiratory Therapist.

Debra was a volunteer with the Eastchester Volunteer Ambulance Corps in the 1970s. Debra loved to travel.

On October 10, 1994, Debra married the love of her life Ramy Alabssy. They have lived in Mount Vernon ever since.

Debra is survived by her loving husband Ramy and her sons Bryan and Abe USMC. Debra is also survived by her brother Robert and his wife June and nephews Joseph and David.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date.
