Daniel Viola, 82 of Eastchester NY died peacefully on July 9, 2022. Beloved partner of Linda Markey. Loving father of Melissa (Thomas) Kempkes and Brian Viola. Daniel is predeceased by his parents Frank and Lillian Viola, sister Linda Karr and his loving wife of 43 years Donna Viola.

Daniel was born in Yonkers NY, raised in Mount Vernon and Ardsley maintaining lifelong friendships with childhood friends. He graduated from Ardsley High School after which he joined the US AirForce stationed at Bolling AF Base in Washington DC where he met his wife Donna. After leaving the AirForce Daniel settled in Eastchester NY where he raised his family. A Millwright by trade, he started his company Creative Industrial Alterations in 1967 where he serviced and installed various types of industrial machinery primarily in the Tri-State area. One of his most notable projects was the repair of the Glen Island Drawbridge. He was known as “Dan the Conveyor Man”.

Daniel had a passion for many things, an avid collector, historian, outdoorsman, entertaining and most especially his gardens. He loved all types of music, one of his favorite pastimes was taking the train/subway into NYC to the 55 Bar where he enjoyed meeting friends and listening to Jazz.
