Obituary for Charles Archambault

Charles Archambault unexpectedly but peacefully passed away at his home in Yonkers, New York on January 22, 2021 at 78 years of age.

Charles will be lovingly remembered by his son Charlie and daughter-in-law Leslie, his daughter Patricia, and his son Billy; his grandchildren Samantha Archambault, and Jayke, Robert, Daniel and Bethany Mullins; and his brother Alfred and sister Kathleen (“Katherine”).

Charles was born in New York City, NY on July 1, 1942 to the late Alfred and Marie (née Krohne) Archambault.

He was a United States Army veteran and was honorably discharged from duty on April 7, 1971. Shortly after returning home from the Army, he married Kathleen Irene Faulhaber, who pre-deceased him in 2011.

For 20 years, Charles served as police officer with the New York City Police Department, retiring as a Lieutenant out of the 44th Precinct.

Charles’ favorite things to do were playing cards each Tuesday at the American Legion Charles Bajart Post in Yonkers, watching Jeopardy, catching the Yankees and rooting for the New York Rangers, reading American history, listening to the oldies and spending time with his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Charles’ name to the Charles N. Bajart Jr. American Legion Post 1122 at 840 McLean Avenue, Yonkers, NY 10704.

Due to Covid restrictions and limitations, there will be a small memorial service with just family and close friends, however everyone is welcome to join us at a virtual visitation which will be held at the Westchester Funeral Home on Friday, January 29. You may visit their website at www.westchesterfuneralhome.com, and then please follow the link to Charles Archambault’s webpage where you will be able to access the livestream link for services starting at 4:00 pm, and ending with a prayer service which will begin at 5:30 pm.
