Obituary for Carol F. Leone (Saviano)

Carol Leone (nee Saviano), 89, of Tuckahoe, NY, born on July 17, 1932 to the late Joseph and Olivia Saviano, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 2.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Cori Leone; sons, Steven (Terrie), Joseph (Kathy), grandchildren Steven, Megan (Anthony) Rossini, and Zachary; great grandchildren Isabella Leone and Joseph Rossini, and her devoted cat Boomer. Carol was predeceased by sons Peter and Michael Leone, as well as her brother, Joseph Saviano

Carol was a graduate of Eastchester High School. She remained an active volunteer during her children’s school years. She was a member of the Village Lutheran Church.

Carol loved beach vacations with family and time spent at the family cabin in the woods. A devoted grandmother, she hung every photo, drawing and trophy. She never missed a Halloween costume, recital, sporting event, and attended every graduation. She loved movies, Broadway musicals, and playing cards. She’d spend hours on crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She loved a good cup of tea, but not as much as a plate of macaroni on a Sunday.

Carol’s strength was admirable and her life was long and full of love. She will be missed, but is at peace.
