Carmine Richard “Richie” Gagliardi, Sr, 85 of Eastchester, passed away Sunday, August 15, in the loving arms of his wife. Born in Tuckahoe, he was the son of the late Joseph and Giovanni (Viola) Gagliardi. Carmine was married to Susan Mary (Tedesco) Gagliardi and they celebrated 62 years of marriage last October. Prior to retiring in 1992, he worked as a technician for NY Telephone for 25 years. He was a member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale. Carmine was an Army veteran, honorably serving during the Korean War. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the VFW. Carmine loved family, especially family gatherings and was blessed with 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, Susan, he is survived by his sons, Carmine, Jr. and his wife Cheryl, Steven and his wife Kathy, Kevin, and his fiancé, Karen Formato, and Michael, and his wife, Linda; grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Tuesday, August 17, 2021, 4-8 pm. Mass, Wednesday August 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, Scarsdale. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
