Obituary for Carmela Casolino

Carmela Casolino affectionately known to her family and friends as Lina, gained her angel wings on April 6th, 2022. The daughter of Giovanni and Maria Santarpino, she emigrated to NY in 1959 from Naples Italy after being married to Osvaldo Casolino (deceased 1987) leaving behind 5 five brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her sisters Anna Putica and Amalia Romanucci, brother Vincenzo Santarpino; daughters Josephine Cooper, Janet Tavolilla (son-in law Ronald Tavolilla) and her grand-daughters Juliette, Jessica and Jaimee Cooper as well as 17 nieces and nephews.
Lina worked for USV and Revlon in Tuckahoe, NY, then retired as an Engraver from Jarit Surgical Instruments of Elmsford, NY after 15 years.
Her passions over the years included dancing, cooking, tennis, and in later years walking up 3-6 miles a day. She was well traveled making friends from San Francisco to Canada, spending her retired years wintering with friends in Florida.
The family will receive friends at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale at the Shrine of Memories Building at 10am.
