Obituary for Betty Roberts

Betty Ann Roberts of Eastchester died peacefully on February 17, 2020. Beloved wife of Bob, whom she married 58 years ago. Loving mother of Jonathan and David. Cherished grandmother of Sarah, John, Mary Kate, and her "special" Michael.

Betty started her career as an Operating Room Technician and worked in the field of nursing at Lawrence Hospital for 25 years. She remained very active throughout her life and loved to volunteer. She was a Cub Scout Mother, a volunteer for many years at the Eastchester Senior Center, the incumbent President of the local AARP chapter, and was inducted into the Westchester Hall of Fame. Betty always wanted to help those around her.

Betty's real love was her church, where she became a Lay Deacon in 2010. She was active with the Lunch Bunch seniors group, the Fellowship Committee, the Altar Guild, and the LWML, served as Assistant Sunday School Superintendent, volunteered at The Chapel School, attended Bible Study groups, and was recognized with the Pro Deo et Schola Award in 2008.

Betty and Bob enjoyed cruising. They were planning their 23rd trip in November.

Betty was proud of her family, loved to help people, and loved life - but most of all loved her God. Gifts may be made in Betty's memory to Village Lutheran Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's memory to Village Lutheran Church. See link below.
