Atha E. Conte, long-time resident of Tuckahoe, died on Nov. 8, 2018 at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Dr. Joseph F. Conte, DDS. Devoted mother of John J. Conte and his wife Patricia, Leonard Conte and his wife Mary Ann, Donna Conte and the late Atha Conte. Cherished Grandmother of Matthew, Ben, Ken, Victoria, Alex, Christopher and Alicia and Great grandmother of Maeve, Hannah, Elvis and Layla. Also surviving are her step-grandchildren David Adler and Erica Hartnett and step-great grandchild Kayla Hartnett. She was predeceased by her 4 brothers Edward, Hugo, Amerigo and Anthony DiIorio. Atha taught Italian at Pelham High School for 20 years, She was a lover of all things Italian including opera, art and literature, and had a passion for movies and writing short stories. Visiting at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc, Eastchester, Monday, Nov. 12 from 4-8PM. Funeral Mass, Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe, Tues. Nov 13 at 9:30AM followed by interment at Holy Mount Cemetery.
