Obituary for Antonietta Tavolilla (Acerra)

Antonietta Tavolilla, formerly of Tuckahoe, NY, 90, died after a five year battle with liver disease. The youngest of five children born to Maria and Gaetano Acerra, she grew up in Caivano, Naples Italy. She followed her father to America in 1963, where she settled in Tuckahoe and eventually met the love of her life, George Tavolilla. They married in December 1967, and together raised 2 children, Carmela and Maria. Antonietta had a kind and generous heart, a strong Catholic faith and always put everyone before herself. Family was the most important thing to her. She devoted her life to her husband, daughters (and their husbands), and her grandchildren. She had a passion for cooking, baking and gardening and was always surrounded by good friends. Antonietta was greeted in heaven by her husband George Tavolilla (25 years married). She is predeceased by her parents and her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her children, Carmela (John) Morello, Maria (Joseph) Bellino, her grandchildren, John Jr, Isabella, Frank and Sophia, and many nieces and nephews in America and Italy.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Saturday, January 27, 2024, 9:00 am - 10:15 am. Prayer Service, Saturday January 27, 2024 at 10:15 am at Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven.
