Obituary for Antonia Nina Yanni

Eastchester, NY - Antonia Yanni, also known as “Toni” or “Nina” to so many, has passed away on the morning of December 23 rd at the age of 78. Antonia was a lifelong Eastchester resident living in the same house she grew up in. Antonia retired as a Teaching Assistant from Eastchester Elementary Schools, where she worked for 20 years teaching students with special needs, as well as graduated from Eastchester High School in 1962. Antonia is survived by her loving husband John Yanni of 47 years. A loving mother to her 4 children, Madeline; John and his wife Dina; Joseph and his wife Deborah; Richard and his wife Lorena. She will always be the adored grandmother of Mikaela, Milana, Mckenzie, Maggie, Molly, and Joey. As well as an aunt to Jacqueline and Adriana Masciandaro. She leaves behind a host of loving pets, nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins, extended family, and very dear friends to cherish her memory. She is predeceased by her parents Sal and Madeline Calamia; Sisters Jacqueline Calamia and Carol Masciandaro; her uncle Joseph Fiorello. The wake will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Westchester Funeral Home, from 4-8pm. A funeral mass will be at 9:30am, on Thursday, December 20, 2022 at Assumption of Our Lady Church, Tuckahoe NY. Burial will follow at Mt Calvary Cemetery in White Plains, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society or St Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
