Anthony B. (Tony) Di Battista, 57, of New Hyde Park died on Dec. 7, 2018 from medical complications after many years of suffering. Beloved son of Grace and the late Anthony Di Battista, Husband of Susan, Father of Michael, Kerianne and Caitlin, brother of Carolyn (Fred) Nelson and Uncle of Ryan and Marissa. He was a 1980 graduate of Iona Prep where he was 2nd in his class. After graduating from Stony Brook College he received a full scholarship to a Masters Program in Operations Research at Cornell University. Tony worked for Ciba-Geigy for 24 years and then as a manager for 9 years at the NY Blood Center. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his family. A fun loving guy, he enjoyed tennis, backgammon and family gatherings where he always provided the board games. He was a real family man and also enjoyed fun times with his cousins at extended family gatherings. He was also a dedicated Orioles fan. Calling hours and service at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc., Eastchester, NY on Saturday, Dec. 15th from 11AM to 1PM followed by a luncheon at Roma's Restaurant in Tuckahoe. The family would like to thank the staff of both Lawrence and Calvary Hospitals. Please omit flowers.
