Obituary for Anna DeGrazia (Festa)
Anna DeGrazia passed away peacefully in the morning of March 25, 2020 at the age of 94. She was born Anna Festa on August 22, 1925 in Queens, NY. In 1947 she married John DeGrazia, a veteran of World War II. Together they owned and ran a liquor store on Arthur Avenue in the Bronx until their retirement.
Anna was a wonderful wife, mom, grandmother and great grandma. She always put her family first and was proud of the way she was able to take care of herself and her home even into her advanced years.
Anna always took special joy in cooking and baking and celebrating the holidays with her loved ones. The 2019 Christmas holiday season was especially festive for Anna after the births of her two great grandchildren.
Anna's husband John passed away in 2006. She is survived by her daughters Joanne and Elizabeth and their husbands Frank and Eugene, her grandchildren Andrew and Deanna, John and Liz, and Gene. She was also thrilled and blessed to welcome and spend time with her two great grandchildren, Julian and Albert.
Because of the present situation we are all going through, we are not able to have a traditional funeral. And for this we are sorry, but we thank all those who would have wanted to pay their respects. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
