Ann Audrey Skiffington Isole Howard, more commonly known as Audrey, passed peacefully in her home, with her family, in Yonkers NY on May 30th, 2021.
Audrey Isole-Howard was born to Margaret Mc Dermott, and Francis Skiffington on October 3rd, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY. A funeral mass will be held in her honor on Saturday, June 12th at 10:30 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 53 Winter Hill Rd. Tuckahoe, NY.
Audrey Isole Howard was a devoted wife to her late husband, Melvin Howard, as well as Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Godmother, Friend and English teacher.
A lover of language, she taught HS English in NYC for many years. After retiring from the NYC Board of Education, she was able to fulfill her passion for adventure by traveling to many parts of the world, including taking a freighter ship to Australia. Besides traveling and literature, she was an avid tennis player and dancer well into her seventies. Her passion for life will be missed!
She is survived by her 5 children (Ralph Isole, Lillian Isole, Margaret Isole, John Isole, and Barbara Isole,) and her grandchildren (Amanda, Erica, Laura, Hannah, Stacy, Sarah, Tyler,and Gabe,) as well as her great grandchild Amara.
