Obituary for Ann Catherine Cozza (Brennan)

Ann Cozza, 86, a long-time resident of Tuckahoe, passed away peacefully surrounded by her daughters on December 17, 2022. She was born in Yonkers, NY to Michael and Ellen Brennan on February 26, 1936. Ann devoted her life to her husband, daughters, grandchildren, family, friends and three sons-in-law (who loved to tease her endlessly). Over the years, she enjoyed her longtime bowling league where she served as treasurer, volunteered with the Eastchester Sports Club, organized the Girl Scout cookie sales for her daughter’s troops (to the point cookie boxes were piled to the living room ceiling), trips to the casino, and scratch off tickets. Most of all, you couldn’t wipe the smile off her face after days playing canasta with the ladies and the time spent with her husband and lifelong friends at Candlewood Lake and the shores of Rhode Island.
Ann was predeceased by her husband John (63 years married), her parents, sister Sheila, 5 brothers (Michael, Thomas, Denis, Vincent and Robert). She is survived by her three daughters and their families Patricia (Ray), Debbie (Al), and JoAnn (John), 6 grandchildren (Alex, Lauren, Danielle, Chris, Jenna and Matt), her siblings Joe and Mary, as well as numerous beloved cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass will be held on at 11:45am on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Assumption Church, 125 Wallace Street Tuckahoe, burial following at Gates of Heaven Cemetery 10 W Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/donate/donate-to-st-jude.html) or Immaculate Conception and Assumption of our Lady Parish, 53 Winter Hill Road, Tuckahoe, NY 10707.
