Obituary for Angela Quadrozzi (Provenzano)

Angela Quadrozzi, 90, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2020, in Saratoga Springs, NY. She was born in the Bronx, NY, on July 3, 1929. Angela was the devoted daughter of the predeceased Salvatore Provenzano and Maria (Nicolazzi) Provenzano. She grew up with her family in Mount Vernon, NY, until moving to Tuckahoe, NY, in the mid-1940s. Angela was a proud ’49-er,’ a member of the 1949 graduating class of Tuckahoe High School. On November 18, 1951, she married Vito Quadrozzi at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Mount Vernon. They raised their two daughters in Tuckahoe, surrounded by many loving relatives. A dedicated homemaker, she was a talented cook and loved gardening. Angela enjoyed traveling, especially to the beaches of Amagansett, NY, and to visit family in Italy. When her children were older she returned to Tuckahoe High School, where she worked as the Attendance Clerk. After her husband died she lived in Bronxville, NY, until 2016, when she moved to Saratoga Springs to be closer to one of her daughters. She is the mother of Linda Whiting (Morris) and Maria Starczewski (Kirk). She is survived by grandchildren Christina Gates, Matthew Filippi, Kathryn Browne-Lorcher, and Elizabeth Schinski, as well as three great-grandchildren, Christopher Filippi, and Jonah and Xavier Gates. Angela was a beloved aunt to many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brother Anthony Provenzano, and another brother, Anthony, who died in infancy. A private graveside service was held at Holy Mount Cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date. Friends and family may donate to their local Hospice.
