Obituary for Rita Giordano (Romano)

Rita Anne Giordano was born Rita Anne Romano on August 2, 1935 to Helen and Peter Romano of the Bronx, New York, in an area called Clauson Point. Rita went to beauty trade school and learned how to cut hair etc. She worked for Charles of Ritz in New York City.
Rita met Nicky Giordano when she was 12. She was best friends with his sister Laura. They were destined for each other. Nicky used to write notes to her and stick them in Laura''s lunch bag. They had their moments but marriage was inevitable. 64 years of marriage.
Her Nicky passed on January 27, 2021 but took care of Rita till the end. They leave behind 2 daughters, Jeannine and Roseanne and her husband James, plus 1 sister 2 brothers and 2 sister in laws and plenty of nieces and nephews.
Rita loved music, loved to dance, met Tony Bennett at the Blue Note Record Shop. She loved the ocean and being down the shore with her family. She mastered the art of Mama Giordano''s pizza.
In her last days at home under her daughters care she was asked how she felt, she said she felt adorable. That will be how she is remembered, loving, warm, funny, a wonderful wife, mother and daughter. Rest In Peace Mommy, we will love you forever, you have left your mark.
