ALAN BENEDICT
A fifth-generation funeral director, Alan Benedict joined the family firm after graduating from Colgate University in 1961. He is dedicated to community service, serving as past president of the Eastchester Rotary, Eastchester Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce, and the Eastchester Beautification Committee. He has also served as Chair of the Jansen Memorial Hospice Program. Alan is one of the founding board members of the Westchester Task Force, which was organized in 1990. This volunteer program focuses on helping children with their grief and loss. In addition, Alan enjoys presenting educational seminars within the community to help individuals cope with death and grieving. He has been a member of Asbury Methodist Church for many years.

MARIA BENEDICT
After the death of Alan’s father, Charles A. Benedict, Maria joined the firm in an administrative capacity. She is a former nurse and graduate of the Bellevue Nursing School. Along with her husband, Alan, Maria is also one of the original founders of the Westchester Task Force. Through this program, Maria shows her passion for helping children cope with grief and loss. A member of Immaculate Conception Church, Maria is past president of the Catholic Women’s Club, served on the liturgy committee and parish council, and is the creator of the company’s Thanatology Library. She also devotes her time to working with other bereavement support groups within the communtiy.

CARRIE BENEDICT FOLEY
Carrie represents the sixth generation of the Benedict heritage. She joined the firm after she graduated Cum Laude from St. Lawrence University in 1995, and completed her professional education at SUNY-Canton’s mortuary science school, where she graduated with highest honors. She actually started her career much earlier, working with her father as an intern during college vacations. She has been a licensed funeral director since 1996. She is a member of the board and served as Secretary of the Eastchester/Tuckahoe Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Eastchester Rotary Club. She is also a member of Immaculate Conception Church. Carrie and her husband, Daniel, welcomed the birth of their first child, Erin Samantha, on December 16, 2002.

MICHAEL FUSCO
Michael joined the firm in 1998 after graduating from the American Academy-McAlister Institute of Funeral Service. He is past Grand Knight and trustee of the John A. Keogh Council, #2108, a member of the Adult Choir at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe, and a past member of the Parish Council. Michael devotes his spare time to civic activities.

DIANE VAIL HAYDUK
Didi” graduated from Lasell College in 1952 and worked as a medical secretary before joining the staff in 1981. She is a member of the Song Pipers, an active musical therapy group, and communicant of St. John’s Episcopal Church. She spends her spare time with her husband, four children, and nine grandchildren.

ROBERT A. ROTHMANN
Born and raised in Yonkers, Bob was owner of a successful florist business until retiring in 1997. Now on the staff of Floral Works at Westchester Funeral Home, Bob is a past Senior Warden of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Eastchester. He is a past president of the Rotary Club, and has served on the board of many civic organizations. He is a recipient of numerous awards including the Person of the Year Award from the Eastchester Chamber of Commerce.
