Gloria was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico.

Daughter of Celia Monterz Martinez and Ramon Iraldo.

Gloria is survived by her daughter Emily; and her two grandchildren, Victoria and Michael.

She was the eldest daughter of six children; her older brother, Ramon (deceased) and her four surviving sisters: Lucy, Jose, Carmen and Matilde.

Gloria worked most of her adult life as a Crossing Guard and an Assistant Teacher in pre-schools.

She loved children and working with them. Gloria enjoyed painting and doing Arts and Crafts. She was very creative and also enjoyed writing.

Gloria found much peace and happiness volunteering at her local church, St. Francis de Sales in Manhattan; helping with all the details of the holiday displays.

Her last few years she lived with her sister, and then at The Grove in Valhalla.
