Obituary for William J. Addesso

William John Addesso died on October 10, 2017, at the age of 91. Bill was born in the Bronx on July 17, 1926, to the late Robert and Elizabeth (nee Pucciarelli ). He graduated from Evander Childs High School Bronx N.Y., after which he served proudly in the United States Navy ( 1944-1946 ).
Bill married the love of his life, June Dorothy Budd in 1946 . They lived in Yonkers and then Eastchester, NY, raising their beloved children. He was predeceased by a daughter, Denise, who passed away
in 1958 at the age of 4. His wife, June, passed away in 1986. They are now reunited.
Bill was a hard-working and successful independent businessman. He and his wife owned and ran the much missed Annabelle Diner in Waverly Square, Eastchester, NY, from the late-sixties into the early eighties. He managed food concession stands at Glen Island Park in New Rochelle, NY, as well as several others in Westchester County. Bill was a loving family man, and cherished his summer vacations in Lake George, NY, with his wife and children, and later, his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his children Karen (Addesso) DiRoma, Roni (Addesso) Romagnoli and Richard Romagnoli, William C. and Victoria (Malits) Addesso, and Dean Addesso; his grandchildren Victor DiRoma, Kimmy DiRoma Casey, Curt and Amy DiRoma, Gina (Romagnoli) and Vincent Greco, Keith Romagnoli, Joseph and Melissa (Manganelli) Romagnoli, Melissa Romagnoli, William Shane Addesso, and Steven Blaise Addesso; his fifteen great-grandchildren; and a great-great grandchild; and his sister, Jeannette Addesso. He was preceded in death by his siblings Robert Addesso and Anna (Addesso) Peccorelli. The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, Inc. on Thursday October 12, 2017 (Today) from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A mass of christian burial will be celebrated on Friday October 13, 2017 at Immaculate conception R.C. Church at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Mount Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org.
