Obituary for Michael Aversa

Michael Aversa, 86, of Tuckahoe died on October 2, 2017. Michael Aversa born in 1930, had a very creative and wonderful life. He lived for 4 years of his life in England in the Air Force, traveling and seeing the world. He came back from service overseas and went into construction with his buddies where they worked hard and also laughed just as hard mostly everyday. He married and divorced AnnMarie Aversa (they remained friends all of his life) and had one child, Nicole - she married John Pushkal and they had one child, Evan Pushkal. Evan adored his pop-pop. Nicole and Michael went into business together, Nicole Interior Design, Inc., in Tuckahoe, where they also worked hard and laughed almost everyday. So the thread through his life is that he made everyone laugh and made our lives silly and wonderful. He worked well into his 80's and his business was what he loved most. He loved Tuckahoe and being a part of a community that he knew and people knew him. Everyone that knew him liked him, loved the way he dressed, that his shoes always had to match his tie, his hat matched his sweater etc.
He has the most wonderful family, each and everyone of them. He is survived by his siblings, Norma (Fred) Locantore, Eness (Louis) Muro, William (Carol) Aversa, and Marie (Vincent) Zappulla. He has 11 nieces and nephews, and 27 grand nieces and nephews, who are just as oving as their parents. He was blessed all of his life with their help and support until the very end. You couldn't ask for a better life. We will miss his sense of humor the most.
