Obituary for Grace Volpe Salvatore (Volpe)
Grace Volpe Salvatore, 93, lifelong resident of Tuckahoe died on September 3, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Michael Salvatore and dear mother of Arthur, Philip and Janice. Dear sister of Edythe Provenzano, and the late Charles Volpe, Anthony Volpe, Sister Eleanor Volpe, Jeanne Serini, Anne Verderame and Camille DeMeo. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was born on Circle Rd in Tuckahoe on July 1, 1924 to the late Joseph and Josephine Volpe. She attended Tuckahoe schools and later worked in retail at Lord and Taylor for many years. She was a member of The Steppers, a senior dance group that performed in the local area, as well as a volunteer at Lawrence Hospital.
The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER Tuesday, September 5, 2017, 4-8pm. Mass, Wednesday September 6, 2017 at 9:30 am at Assumption Church, Tuckahoe.
