Condolences

Condolence From: Neil B Saul
Condolence: John popped in to my head, I guess because today is the anniversary of my Father's passing, so I Googled his name with the hope that I would be able to connect with him after many decades. John was assigned to protect my Dad in 1956 to assure that he would not become a victim of revenge for testifying against the infamous Joey Gallo. John became a close friend of the family, and a man that I held dear to my heart. I'm deeply saddened by his passing. He was very instrumental in teaching me a smarter and safer way to conduct my life and I will be forever grateful. Please accept my deepest condolences. John was a very brave, strong, proud, and extremely loveable and loyal man. I will share my old relationship with John with my children, who were never told about the issue that brought John into my life, but I want them to know that the world lost a truly wonderful, strong and loving human being. I pray that he rests in Peace, and that all of you in his family remember the beauty of John and find comfort that he is in a place of love and respect. With deep respect and love, Neil

Condolence From: Theresa and Nick Bertucci
Condolence: Uncle John was such a special part of our lives as kids. He was always there on Sundays for our visits to Grandpa's gravesite and, of course, all important family events. He loved my dad, his brother Sonny so much. He did so much for him and my mom Theresa by always being there, checking on them, taking mom to the doctor in Manhattan and whatever else was needed. Most importantly, he visited with my dad at least once a week if not more. Always bigger than life, a wonderful man who will be missed. We were so sorry we could not attend his service but that doesn't diminish our love for him. We are praying for you Lee, and his children and grandchildren. With our sympathy and love, There's and Nick.
