Obituary for Laura Leigh Davidson

Laura Leigh Davidson of New York City died Tuesday, June 27. She was 43 years old.
Raised in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, Laura Leigh married the Rev. Jason Radmacher on August 9, 1997. She gave birth to her son, Oliver Tate Davidson-Radmacher, in 2012.
Known and loved by many for her wit, honesty, and compassion, Laura Leigh fulfilled a childhood dream by working in New York as an actress, singer, and writer. She was a member of John Street United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and son, survivors include: her parents, Ronald and Kathryn Tate Davidson of Kingsport, TN; a brother, Jeff (Misti) Davidson of Bristol, VA; aunts Belinda Carter of Knoxville, TN and Linda (Charles) Cates of Houston, TX; an uncle, Joe Tate of New York City; her husband’s parents, William and Barbara Radmacher of Corydon, IN; three nephews; a niece; and an extensive community of family members and friends.
Bishop Thomas Bickerton will lead a Service of Death & Resurrection for Laura Leigh at John Street United Methodist Church, 44 John Street in Lower Manhattan, Saturday July 8 at 12:00pm.
Memorial gatherings will take place in Tennessee and Indiana later this month.
