Obituary for Heather Yearwood Nash

Surrounded by the love of her family, Heather Elizabeth Yearwood Nash of Mount Vernon, NY passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in New York, NY. Heather was born on July 19, 1959 in London, England to Beresford Yearwood and Clyrene Taylor Yearwood. Heather and her family immigrated to Mount Vernon in 1967, where she attended Graham Elementary School. Heather graduated from Pelham High School and received her B.S. in Business Administration from Concordia College in 1997.

Heather began her career as a bank teller with Barclay’s Bank in New Rochelle, NY. She immediately found her niche as a career banker, working for Barclay’s Bank, the Bank of New York, and JP Morgan Chase, for a total of 36 years. Heather moved up within the bank to become Vice President and Branch Manager of the Mamaroneck Office where she was loved by her colleagues and customers alike. Her favorite pastimes were shopping and traveling.

Heather is predeceased by her mother Clyrene Yearwood aad survived by her loving husband Irvin Nash, devoted father Beresford Yearwood, sisters Keathen and Maria, and brother Ian. Also, surviving are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, 5-9pm at the Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester/Tuckahoe. Funeral services will be on Thursday 10am at Grace Baptist Church in Mt. Vernon. Interment will follow at Kensico Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).
