Obituary for June Sherding (Marcell)

June Sherding (Marcell)
Born June 28, 1942 in Mount Vernon, New York, June Sherding passed away while on comfort care in Bronxville, New York. June is survived by her four children, Ronald Sherding, Christopher Scott Sherding, Kenneth Sherding, and Tracey Sherding as well as eighteen grandchildren. June was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend; she kept lifelong friendships and was considered more of a sister than a friend. June made friends everywhere, gracing others with her witty sense of humor and roaring laughter. She had passion and zest for life, which in combination with her pure creativity made her a talented painter, calligrapher, and sketch artist. June was an avid gardener and animal lover, adopting many cats and dogs over the years. However, there was nothing June enjoyed more than her family being together; and in her final days, she had just that, her entire family at her bedside supporting each other, filling her room with laughter and love.

The family will receive friends at the WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC. EASTCHESTER on Tuesday - June 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday - June 7, 2017 at 9:30am at Immaculate Conception Church, Tuckahoe. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Rochelle Humane Society - 70 Portman Road, New Rochelle, NY, 10801. To sign our online guest-book visit www.westchesterfuneralhome.com
