Obituary for James Trotta

James Vincent Trotta, 64, of Bronxville, New York passed away on April 30,2017. He was born in the Bronx, New York on June 6, 1952.
James was an educator all his life. He graduated from Villanova University and received a Master's Degree in English at New York University. He began teaching at Iona Preparatory School where he coached football and ice hockey. In 1981 he joined the English department of Mount Vernon High School and retired after teaching there 25 years. He was passionate about literature, jazz, and a great fan of the New York Yankees.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Laura DeMilio Trotta. Predeceased by his mother Margaret Locantore Trotta; survived by his father Patrick Trotta, two brothers, Michael Trotta (Joanne) and Paul Trotta (Jill); several nieces, nephews and a grandniece and grandnephew. Visitation will be Friday, May 5, from 3:00 to 6:00, at Westchester Funeral Home, 190 Main Street, Eastchester, NY 10709.
