Barbara Mongelli, 72, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2017 at her home in Jupiter, FL. She was born on February 21, 1945 in New York, NY to Knut and Stina (Groothoff) Sabelstrom. She spent her early years in Jackson Heights, NY and raised her family in Trumbull, CT ultimately retiring in Jupiter, FL. She is survived by her beloved husband William, of 51 years: her devoted children, James of Milford, CT; Kristina and husband Anthony Marciano of Eastchester, NY and her two cherished grandsons, Hudson and Nicholas Marciano. Relatives and friends are welcome to gather with her family from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2017 at Westchester Funeral Home in Eastchester, NY. Interment will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, NY. Memorial donations in memory of Barbara may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
