Antoinette Porrazzo (Bosco)
Antoinette Porrazzo, 96, passed away peacefully on Mar. 26, 2017 at her long time home in Eastchester, NY, surrounded by her family members. She was the wife of the late James Porrazzo. She was born on Sept. 20,1920 in Thompsonville, CT to Dominic and Lucia (Cimino) Bosco. She spent her early years in Thompsonville, and after marriage moved to Tuckahoe and then Eastchester, where she was a parishioner of the Immaculate Conception Church. She was devoted to her family, and was a leader of both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in earlier years. She had a "can-do" spirit, which enabled her to accomplish a variety of home projects, including painting and wallpapering. In addition, she enjoyed a variety of handicrafts, including tatting and crocheting, and she was an accomplished seamstress, who made and altered clothing for her children and grandchildren all her life. She was also an excellent cook and loved to feed family and friends when they visited. She is survived by her devoted children: Carmine and Judith (Cardillo) Porrazzo of Jupiter, FL; AnnMarie and husband Frank Herron of Columbia, MD; Susan Porrazzo of Eastchester; and James and Frances (Glynn) Porrazzo of Tuckahoe; her two cherished grandchildren, Marianne and Linda (Bell) Russo of Portland, OR; and Michelle Porrazzo of Tuckahoe; her beloved great granddaughter Gioia Antoinette Russo; and cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Nicholas Bosco, Carmela Coletto, and Cosimo Bosco.

Relatives and friends are welcome to gather with her family from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Thursday Mar. 30, 2017 at Westchester Funeral Home in Tuckahoe, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe at 10:30 a.m. Interment will then take place at Holy Mount Cemetery in Eastchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Antoinette's memory may be made to White Plains Hospital, White Plains, NY or Family Services of Westchester, Portchester, NY.
