Obituary for Vito Simone

Vito Simone, 79, of Yonkers, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on March 15, 2017. He was born in Italy on October 28, 1937 to the late Michele and Maria (Racanelli ) Simone. Vito owned many Deli's over the years from Manhattan to Putnam County. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Maria Simone, a daughter, Maria (Joseph) Calautti of New Rochelle, a son, Michael Simone (Susan) of Yonkers, grandchildren, Nicole Calautti, Diana Calautti, Amelia Calauti, Vito Simone and Michaella Simone. He is also survived by four Sisters, Grazia Verni, Santina Cuscito, Saverina Masselli, Cesarina Racanelli, and a brother Saverio Simone, and a sister-in-law, Sabatina Simone. Along with his parents he was predeceased by a brother, Giacomo Simone. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 19, 2017, from 2 - 9 PM at THE WESTCHESTER FUNERAL HOME, INC., EASTCHESTER. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 20, 2017, at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Fatima RC, Scarsdale. Entombment will follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery Mausoleum.
