John C.  Martin Jr.
John C. Martin, Jr. (Jack), 90, Resident of Mount Vernon, NY, died peacefully on February 13, 2017, surrounded by loving family and friends. Jack was born on March 21, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Mable. He was married on October 18, 1948 to Mary T. Stevens in Mary’s hometown of Springfield, MA. Jack and Mary were married for 63 years before her death in 2011. Jack served as an electrician’s mate for the US Navy on the USS Mc Nair during World War II. He was a longtime member of Local 1 Plumbers Union, in New York, until his retirement. After retiring, he moved with Mary to their home in Massachusetts where he enjoyed snow skiing, golfing, and spending time with his family and close friends at “the cabin”. John is survived by his children; Marianne Goulet, Patricia Conroy, John Martin (Nancy), JoAnn Martin, Catherine Murphy (John) and James Martin (John). His grandchildren; Robert Goulet (Andrea), Philip Goulet (Jenn), Dana Goulet, Catherine Goulet, Thomas Conroy (Kelly), Rian Conroy, Kaitlin Cavallero (Mark), Kristen Thomas (Ben), Justin Martin (Michele), Elizabeth Hannah (Alex), Jack and Caroline Murphy, and his Great Grandchildren; Giana Goulet, Jaredyn, Gabriella and Madelynn Goulet, Marcellus Goulet, Austin Malave, Quinn and Thomas James Conroy, Samantha, Charlotte and Giovanni Cavallero, Patrick and Daniel Thomas, and Will and Zack Martin. Visiting hours for Jack will be held at the Westchester Funeral Home, Inc. Eastchester, on Friday, February 17, 2017, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Mass to be held at Annunciation Church in Crestwood at 9:45am on Saturday, February 18, 2017. Burial immediately following at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. MA.
